ROGERANDTOM
Ever wonder why Othello trusts Iago, night after night, matinee after matinee? Or why Romeo and Juliet kill themselves daily? And why do we keep waiting for Godot, knowing full well that he’ll never show up?
The dazzling New York Premiere of Julien Schwab’s rogerandtom seeks to solve the unimaginable realities of the art of the theatre. In a play where the “fourth wall” exists in so many inconceivable, unexpected planes, the audience might as well get up and do their own song and dance! This irreverent, taut, wickedly funny, brutally honest 90-minute piece of theatre questions all that we theatergoers hold sacred.
Even after you see it, you may still not believe it.

CHARLES DICKENS’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL
The ultimate curmudgeon and miserly character of all time – Ebenezer Scrooge – makes his presence felt at PST’s second annual staged reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, a glorious departure back to the literary roots of Charles Dickens’ beloved and spirited ghost story.
This new concert adaptation takes Dickens’s text to heart, setting some excerpts to music in addition to some 25 holiday songs.
Dickens’ lessons of redemption and healing are read and sung once more, but this production is stripped of stage smoke, flying ghosts, and trapdoors. Dickens taps into that ancient, even pagan aspect of winter as a season for taking stock and new beginnings. This show, like the book, is ultimately about good eating, good drinking, and being good to each other… good lessons to warm audiences on a December evening!

THE DUCHESS: AKA WALLIS SIMPSON
From the pen of award-winning playwright Linda Griffiths comes the Toronto hit in its United States premier.
This is the kaleidoscopic true tale of the infamous Wallis Simpson, the American woman for whom Edward VIII gave up the throne in 1936. Twice divorced, plain, common, crass and charismatic, Wallis must use her power of pure style to claw her way through pre-WWII European society, amidst the high scandal of her husband giving up the works while Hitler offered her the world.
Sexual, naughty, wildly funny, and epic, the story of Wallis Simpson will leave you breathless.
